Home Page
- Search - The search bar allows you to search story keywords.
- Top FIVE Stories - The top five stories section lists the five stories that have been viewed the most.
- Categories - Under Police, Fire, or Dispatcher you will see a list of stories. These stories are the last five stories that have been entered, displayed by the most recent addition first.
- Login/My Account - If you are not logged in you will have a login box to the right that you can use to login, otherwise you will see links to your account options.
- Contest Highlights - The contest box displays TEN contests that are currently running.

Choose Stories
- First - Choose a category that you want (i.e. Police, Fire, Dispatcher).
- Second - Choose the subcategory that you would like to view stories from.
- Third - Choose the story that you want to read.

View Story
- Add Comment - You must be logged in to add a comment. Then click on the add comment button and add a title and a comment.
- Mature Content - The mature content button is to report content that you feel should be filtered from being read by all users or guests. Once you have selected the Mature Content button you will be brought back to the story and you will not be able to click the Mature Content again.
- User Icon - Under the user's name in the main story section you will see a picture, that picture is the user's icon. If they user has not uploaded an icon, you will see the defaulted user icon depending on the user type (i.e. Police, Fire Fighter, Dispatcher, Civilian).
- Average Rating - The average rating displays the average rating of all users that have rated the story on a scale of 1 - 5.
- Your Rating - This displays what you have rated the story. If you have not yet rated the story, simply move your mouse over the badges and select 1 - 5 depending on your opinion of the story.
- Comments - You will see comments listed below the main story. In this section, users can go on and discuss the story.

View Contests
- View All Contests - To view all of the current contests click the link in the Contest Highlights box on the right. That will bring you to a page where you can view all of the current contests.
- View Contest Outcome - Click on the plus sign next to the contest name to see all the stories that are in the contest and what they have been rated thus far.

My Account
- My Info - Allows you to edit your account information.
- My Password - Allows you to edit your password.
- My Stories - Displays all of your stories. Under options you will see icons to make changes to your story. The trophy allows you to add your story to a contest. The film strip allows you to add and edit multimedia. The pencil allows you to edit your story. The X allows you to delete your story.
- My Contests - Displays all of the contests that you have entered a story for. Click on the plus sign to expand the contest and view all of the stories in the contest and what their ratings are.
- Add Story - This section allows you to add a story. You must first expand the category that you wish to choose and then select a subcategory. Finally enter a story name, add keywords, and enter your story using the text edit field.
- Add Contest - This section allows you to add a contest. Enter a contest name, start date and time, end date and time, and if you want the contest to be public or not. If you leave the contest open to the public anyone can join and they do not need your approval. If you wish to keep the contest closed to the public, anyone can add a story to the contest, however, you must approve them before they are allowed to enter.
